Well, it's that time again. Pine's farm stand is up and running--actually it has been for several weeks. They sell the best produce in the area--with corn on the cob (that they grow themselves) and peaches being their piece(s) de resistance.
So today I finally remembered to go that way and stop for peaches. I haven't eaten any yet. I'm waiting a day or two till they get softer and more juicy, but the waiting is difficult. They are sooooo good.
They are serving a very good purpose until I begin eating them though. They were my subject for my daily post.
If you haven't ever had Pine's peaches, make a trip there and get some. You won't be sorry.

both nice images but the peache really are a pleasing image.
nice bokha(sp?)
I love the simplicity of the first image (peaches). Your horizontal cropping is a key element in this well composed image. It works well with your subject, and also creates a layering effect. Additionally...terrific bokeh...it really makes your subject stand out! I also like that you presented 3 whole peaches as your subject, cropping the two end ones in half.
I also love the second image (flowers)! Besides being very pretty, the yellow flowers contrasted against the green foliage is quite appealing. Including the wooden plank...running in a diagonal direction...adds interest to this beautiful image.
Now, would you do me a favor? Could you shoot this same composition (flowers), but use a shallower DOF? I would love to see a comparison of the before/after images.
Terrific job...keep it up...you're about 1/3 of the way to your goal!!! :-)
I eat those peaches quite often and you are correct in saying that they are wonderful. As we stated the other day, keep going! You are doing great with your goal.
