Another Skylink Sign

This Skylink sign was at the bottom level of the escalator directing people to the shuttles to other gates.  It provided a look at the runway where an Alaska flight was being situated for take-off.

we were able to get our flight shortly after this plane left

Welcome sign at baggage claim

Visiting a friend I haven't seen in years.  This area is like eye-candy compared to where I live.  So glad to have this chance to visit.

The Airport

I took a friend to the airport this morning.  It's a regional airport and only about a 15 minute drive from town.  My last home was about an hour from the airport, so 15 minutes is a real treat.

He'll be back early next week.  I didn't ask him yet, but he might be up for stopping at my fave coffee shop for a treat.

My heart is grateful that:

someone else is going to work on the church bulletin next week so I have a week off

Halfway on Route 66

On the way home from Santa Fe, we detoured to see this halfway spot on Route 66.  

The memories it brings back as we remembered the show we watched faithfully with longing and wanderlust to be on the road...

Town Silo

Seen on the way to Santa Fe, NM.  Not sure exactly where, I lost track of where we were.  This is basically just a grab shot because it was a long drive and I needed a daily photo.  

I love the silos and the blue, blue sky.

Today's grateful heart is grateful for:

Some Time in Albany

 A friend and I decided to go to downtown Albany to photograph the architecture at dusk.  It was supposed to be a nice day, but as we began the drive the rain started.  Even though we were a little discouraged, we were determined to keep going since we had cancelled the same fieldtrip last week because of the rain.

When we arrived it was still raining but the Egg sheltered us and in just a short while the rain stopped.   There's not much more of a story to this.  We photographed until it was almost dark and we were cold enough that it wasn't enjoyable any more.

I think the rain was a blessing in disguise because of the interesting shiny patterns left on the ground.
