Barrel Racing

Because the rodeo takes place inside the area, the lighting is pretty difficult.  I had my setting way up high, but managed to get a good shot of this rider going around the barrel.

While waiting for our pizza to get ready in Baird, we were walking around town.  There was one wall where there was a huge mural painted on it.  I only had my point-and-shoot Canon, so I couldn't get the entire wall.  I managed to get this smaller piece of a cowgirl sitting on a barrel.

Two summers ago, before we had to deal with the brutally hot summers we've had recently, these events (Playdays) took place mostly at Cowboy Church arenas on a Sat night.
