Church of Christ

Just a couple of blocks from the seemingly functioning Methodist Church in the previous post, this building housing the Church of Christ appears to be abandoned.  The blinds in the windows were broken and discolored, the lawn wasn't mowed and it didn't look like there had been any foot traffic recently.
How sad.

Stone Quarry

Although the town of Lueders, TX has so few inhabitants, it seems to be know for farming/ranching and stone quarries.  I passed this one on the way to find the town.  There were 3 or 4 along the road so apparently there's some form of commerce in the area.

My heart is grateful for
the beautiful weather today

We're Not In the Adirondacks Anymore

At the end of a walking path in one of the many parks in Knoxville, these red chairs were waiting visitors.  They aren't Adirondack chairs and I didn't sit in them so I don't know how comfortable they are.  I'm spoiled~~Adirondack chairs are soooo comfortable.

my heart is grateful for:
nature spaces in the town

A second view of the Pecos Mission Church in Pecos National Historical Park outside of Santa Fe, NM.
The stone outlines were the foundations of living spaces for those who worked in the church.

My heart is grateful today for:
the chance/time to take a road trip today to look for photo ops

Cholla Cactus in Pecos National Park, New Mexico

I've never seen a cactus like this.  They were all over the park and most of them had yellow flowers blooming.

Grateful for:
safe travels to New Mexico and back
