Wildflowers

Today I had to take my car to Firestone for an oil change.  They were going to do some other work on it too, so I left the car there and got a ride home, only about a mile away.
When it was time to get the car, I walked back to the shop and on the way I saw these wildflowers growing in a cluster.  I've seen them other places too but only when I was driving and couldn't stop to get a photo.
I don't know the name of the flowers, but they're just so sweet and pretty.

Once Upon a Convenience Store

This sign was on a corner in front of an abandoned gas station and convenience store.
It must have been a fairly thriving business at one time.
Another sad and forgotten place in rural Texas.

End of Track

One set of train tracks in Abilene, TX comes to an end.  Another set goes straight through the downtown area.

Wildflowers

This is not a scene usually seen in Abilene, Texas, but we've had a lot of rain this year.  It's just so simply pretty.

My heart is grateful for:
lots of rain

Roadside Wildflowers

Driving home along a country road today, I saw these beautiful wildflowers.  I don't know what they are, but the color is gorgeous.

I'm grateful today for:
finally finishing a quilt I started over 25 years ago
