Today Is...
3/365

"For I know the plans I have for you", declares the Lord,
"plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you
hope and a future."  Jeremiah 29:11

I LOVE this verse.  It's such a comfort to know that God is in control.  I have choices but He ultimately knows what's in store for my life, so when I'm floundering and wondering what to do, I can be comforted that it's already decided and that it will be for my good and God's glory.
Whew, that's a load of my mind.

I just finished month #1 of taking and posting a photo a day.  I feel like I've accomplished something. Several years ago a couple of friends and I decided to do a 365 photo-a-day challenge.
It sounded so overwhelming, and it was.
Although I did it, I missed a few days (maybe 3)
and even though there were no "photo police" to chastise me, I felt guilty.

At the start of this year I thought I'd try it for the month of Jan.
Just one month.
Now it's the first day of Feb and I think I'll try it for another month.

One of the last assignments for January was "nature".  I'm not a big fan of outdoor winter photography, so I photographed my little house plant which I enjoy so much
and which puts a smile on my face every time I look at it.

NATURE

The assignment for Feb 1 is "Today is...".
Well today is a dreary, cloudy, snowy & cold day but spring is on the way.
I'm staying home A.G.A.I.N because I don't want to deal with the roads
and nastiness, but I think I'll choose to be productive and appreciate
the blessings I have and not dwell on the restrictions imposed by
the weather.

Bookworm

After Bible Study and a great dinner with friends, my hostess, Betty, and I played a few rounds of BookWorm. It's a great word game. I used to have it on my computer, but when I got my laptop, I never purchased it--and probably never will. It's incredibly addictive and I could waste many hours each day playing it. But Betty has it on her TV, so it can be played by more than one player by passing the remote back and forth.

It's a lot like Boggle, which most of you probably know I'm crazy about. Fortunately, if there's no one else to play Boggle with, it's really no fun 'cause what in the world is the challenge? I tried to talk Betty into playing Boggle tonight, but she wouldn't go for it. She loses royally, and she wasn't in a losing mood tonight. However, she didn't mind playing Bookworm, 'cause I lose royally, so she was good to go for that.

Anyway, it's great fun, and even if/when I lose, I love to play.

I decided that this would be my post tonight before I got home to look at the other blogs. When I saw Trish's I had to chuckle. I guess we were on the same wave length today.

Keys

The "Thursday assignment" is keys. Even when I gave the assignment I was wondering what I'd do for the images, since my keys are pretty boring. And then I made the mistake of reading everyone else's blog--all that nostalgia and emotion. So I figured I had to do something creative, which would be a double challenge with the point and shoot.

The first image is what the keys look like normally.

Then I moved the camera sideways a little.

Then I moved it up.
I like the results.
