Photos on Bathroom wall

The coffee shop in Eastland has some really awesome wall decor.  These photos are clustered on one of the walls in the ladies bathroom.  

I love the different frames and it's always fun to look at retro photos.

Interesting Sculpture

This interesting sculpture is seen outside Texas Tech Health Services where the nursing school is located in Abilene, Texas.

Textured Glass Entrance

While walking around Stamford, Texas we came upon this empty building.  I love these textured panes of glass and this little alcove appears to have been an entrance into the building once upon a time.  There's a huge piece of metal covering over what was a doorway.

Without knowing any history, structures like this are such a puzzle.

What was the building, why is it empty/closed/abandoned, who maintains the building in such good condition, who pays the taxes on an empty structure?  So many questions, no answers.

Shadow on the Wall

It was dusk and the setting sun cast these shadows on the wall through the blinds.   I just thought it looked so interesting.

Recreation & Wellness Center @ ACU

I don't usually like modern architecture, but this is kind of interesting~~a little bit outside the box of the usual stuff you see on the Abilene Christian University campus in Abilene, Texas.  

My heart is happy that:

one of the ladies in church had her baby this week and it's a beautiful and healthy baby girl

Orange Volkswagen

This is seen at the top of a brick wall in downtown.  I honestly don't know what it's supposed to represent because there's no car business below it.  

Abilene is known as the Storybook Capital, so maybe it has something to do with some children's story.  Whatever...it's cute and it's a great conversation starter.

I was driving on a road that I don't usually drive on today. There was a sign "Scenic Overlook", so I decided to stop. This is what I saw. Not a very interesting sky today, but I thought the scene was interesting anyway.
