These 6 White Horses, sponsored by one of the local Universities in Abilene, perform the opening ceremony at the West Texas Fair and  Rodeo each year, in addition to other performances they do throughout the year at other events.

bringing leftover food home from church after the weekend Presbytery, so now I don't have to cook for a few days!!!  win-win

Performer

While waiting for the Rodeo to begin, I wandered around the midway and came upon this group performing.  The volume was crazy loud and I didn't understand a word they were singing, but it was great getting pics of the group.

all the good books I've read in my lifetime and how much I enjoy reading

Street Performer

Abilene has many opportunities for public events downtown.  Once a month they have a Street Walk and there are other times during the year when they celebrate something accompanied by a street fair.  There's also an annual car show which is quite the event.  

This is an older image taken at one of those events.  I don't remember what the occasion was when I made this photo, but it was fun.

a fun dinner with some friends from church last night~~good food and great conversation
