New Boardwalk

I'm visiting a place that has added a new board walk since the last time I was here.  It runs along a river, not a beach (sadly), but it's very nice and I hope the folks who live here take good care of it.

FREE

In downtown Abilene this structure used to be a restaurant, but it's been taken over by I have no idea who or what.  It offers free games on the patio and there's a FREE GAMES sign on the fence enclosing the patio.  The lights on the sign were on but because it was daytime they don't show up too well.

Three lawn Chairs

I was getting ready to take the group photo for our reunion this past weekend, so I set up these chairs for a few of the people to sit in.  They're kind of cool.
Not a world class photo, but the moms of the little kids don't want photos of their kids on social media, so I thought these chairs might be an option for a photo for today.

Rocking Chairs

While waiting for a friend outside Cracker Barrel, I snapped this photo of the rocking chairs they have for sale.  They even have smaller chairs for children now.

Fire Station

The doors on this fire state are orange.  I don't think I've ever seen the color orange~~usually fire station doors are red.  Interesting.

Ice Cream Shop

I met my daughter, sil and grandkids met at this cute ice cream shop in their little town this afternoon.  I got there before they did and was sitting with my camera looking for photo ops when I noticed this cute little scene right outside the shop.
I love the pink and aqua colors together.

My heart is grateful:
for the cooler fall weather

Coffee Shop at Night

The other night some friends and I attended a meeting and afterward we decided to go to the coffee shop to visit with each other.  I got there first and discovered that 1) all the inside tables were taken and 2) it was open mic night which meant we probably wouldn't be able to have any kind of a comfortable conversation.
But...for the first time in many months, the weather was beautiful and perfect for sitting outside.  It's been a very long time since I sat outside and it was glorious.
Sometimes it's the very smallest of pleasures that are the most meaningful.

Outside Tables

These table are outside a business in downtown Fairbanks, AK called the Fudge Pot.  The establishment sells food and, of course, fudge.
I didn't go inside because I was afraid I'd succumb to my love of fudge, but I enjoyed getting this image of the outside of the business.

We're Not In the Adirondacks Anymore

At the end of a walking path in one of the many parks in Knoxville, these red chairs were waiting visitors.  They aren't Adirondack chairs and I didn't sit in them so I don't know how comfortable they are.  I'm spoiled~~Adirondack chairs are soooo comfortable.

Bistro Table

Two sets of bistro table is in front of a coffee shop.  I hear it's a nice place, but I've never been inside.  It was about 104 today, so obviously no diners sitting outside.

My heart is grateful for:
outdoor seating when the weather is nice
