While waiting for our pizza to get ready in Baird, we were walking around town.  There was one wall where there was a huge mural painted on it.  I only had my point-and-shoot Canon, so I couldn't get the entire wall.  I managed to get this smaller piece of a cowgirl sitting on a barrel.

One of the coffee shops in Anson has this mural painted on the outside wall as an advertisement.

I was there late in the afternoon, so the shop wasn't open, sad to say.

I was walking through some of the downtown alleyways in Anson, TX and came across this scene.

I think this is an abandoned building, but I like the painting of the vase in between the doorways.

Winnie the Pooh

This is a painting on an unused store front in Abilene, TX.  It's just a small piece of a larger mural that adorns the glass plate window.  

Winnie the Pooh makes me smile all the time.

Coca Cola Painting

There's a great pizza place in Baird.  While there, waiting for my order to be ready, I noticed this painting of a Coca Cola bottle in front of the American flag.

I prefer Pepsi, but this painting is beautiful so I grabbed an shot of it for this blog.

Crown of Thorns

In one of the vacant store fronts in downtown Abilene, there are paintings on display.  I've passed this painting several times in the past, but finally decided to make an image of it this time.  

I think it's beautiful.  The other paintings are gorgeous too.

Downtown Painting

Downtown Abilene has just finished refurbishing the streets and sidewalks of one of its main streets.

My favorite coffee shop has also recently remodeled a little inside.  One of the additions they've added is this beautiful painting of their shop and the street on which it lives. 

What a great addition to the decor of the shop.

Grinch Christmas

On my way to my fave coffee shop today, I noticed that someone was painting the windows of the shops across the street.  It isn't even Thanksgiving yet, and Christmas scenes are being painted on windows. 

The artist was painting, so I stopped to talk to her.  She was doing a great job so I had to get some photos of her work.

Flower Graffiti

One of the businesses in downtown Abilene has their outside wall painted in these beautiful colors from the ground to the top of the building.  It's such an outstanding bright spot along the sidewalk.

A Pretty Painting on a Brick Wall

I think I was in Colorado City when I saw this flower painting on the outside of one of the businesses.

It filled the entire wall and had some words, but I just wanted to show the flowers.

Gnome on Wall

It was a stunningly beautiful day today.  The temp hovered around 82 and the humidity was about 32.  The sun was shining and there was a little breeze.  

After I went to the grandkid's lesson this afternoon, I drove around looking for some photo ops.  I finally parked the car and got out to walk around with my camera, and I found this little single layer of brick wall in between two larger brick walls.  I almost missed the gnome painting.

Watercolor

I saw this in my chiropractor's office today.  I've seen it other times but today the lightbulb went off that I should take a photo of it.  I only had my phone so the quality isn't great, but I still thing it's a great image to have in the office.

Abandoned Building

This building is in downtown Abilene, TX.  I've taken several shots of it in the past, but never from this perspective.  In its former useful life it appears it was a warehouse of some kind.

My heart is grateful for:

being able to spend some time alone with my grandson today

Street Art

I've seen this mural many times recently, but there were always cars parked right in front of it so it was too difficult to get a good photo.  Yesterday, however, I used my cell phone and I was able to get right on the sidewalk, so the cars didn't interfere at all.  

I love the colors and the design.  Such a "happy" mural.
