Colored Circles

I went into a building I've never been in before in Abilene.  I needed to go to the IRS office.  While waiting for it to open after their lunch break I wandered around and saw this circle sculpture.

Doughnuts

Today was the last day of early voting here in Abilene.  One of the other clerks was kind enough to bring doughnuts for us this morning.  

Some of us ordered burgers for lunch,  and one of the clerks went out to get them for us.  The price was amazing and the burgers were incredibly delicious.  I guess I'll have to keep that burger place in mind the next time I get a burger craving.

Protective Railing on Basement Window

One of the buildings in downtown Abilene has these protective railings on the basement windows.  They're really beautiful even though the basement windows are boarded closed now.

While walking downtown the other day I came across a pick-up truck with these cut pieces of tree trunk.  The perfect shot for the photo-prompt of "circles". 

I found some other "circle" photos, but they aren't half as interesting as this one.

Basement Window

  This is one of the windows to the basement window of a public building in town.  I often wonder why people cover over their basement windows but I guess there must be a good reason.

Colored Disks

There was an area in the local zoo that might have been intended for people to use as a background for their cell phone pics of their children.  I can't think of any other reason for this area.  

I just thought it was so pretty with the brightly colored disks.

If my grandkids had been with me today, I definitely would have taken their pics in front of this pretty background.

Printer's Logo

This logo in on the outside of a building housing a printer in town.  I never noticed it before but it's so interesting.  

I'm not sure what the red and black circles with the cross in them represents, but more than likely it has something to do with printing.

Today my heart was grateful for:

getting together with 2 sewing-buddies and working on my Quilt For Cops quilt
