The Old High School

What a beautiful building.  It was late on a Sat afternoon when I photographed this structure and there were no people walking around.  There are curtains in the windows though, so maybe during the week it's being used for something.

Vacant Building on South Side

This corner building is vacant and has been for a number of years.  The wood is painted blue but the windows and doors are boarded up with no access to the inside.

Wonder what the building was originally?

Abandoned Old Home

Another abandoned structure in Eastland, Texas.  The door was unlocked and I was able to get a few images of the inside of the structure~~part of the ceiling was ripped open, there was trash on the floor and there was even an upright vacuum cleaner in the rooms.

It looks like it must have been a nice home once upon a time.

House for Sale 

I had the opportunity to photograph another house that's going on the sale market pretty soon.  It was late in the day and the light was beautiful.  The house is cute.  It's just two bedrooms, a kitchen and a living room.  It needs some work but it would be a great starter house for a new couple or an ending home for an older couple.

The neighborhood in the small town is a little iffy, but with a little work the curb appeal could be improved.

Damaged Mailbox 

This mailbox is on the street for a house that's been abandoned for as long as I've lived here (and probably for many years before I arrived).  

Apparently, from the little bit I know about it, the house was built by the husband for the wife, but then the marriage didn't work out for some reason. 

The last time I saw the mailbox, it was in better shape, but not so much now.

Aqua Door

While walking around today, I saw this pretty aqua door with the wreath.  It was late in the day so there was a lot of contrast between the shadows and the sunlight, but I love the archway of the front porch, the color of the door and the pretty welcoming wreath.

I passed this house with this beautiful front door.

Open Mailbox

Walking around Cisco, Texas I saw this open mailbox in front of an adorable house that's for sale.  No house number on the mailbox but a realtor sign in front of the house.

Wonder how long it will stay on the market???  I'm hearing that house sales around here have slowed down.

Railroad Sign

In the south part of downtown it's practically deserted in late afternoon.  I had the area totally to myself.  I don't think I've ever photographed this sign from this perspective, but I really like it.  

It appears that the warehouse/factory just to the right of the staircase railings hasn't been in use for many, many years, but the building is still intact and has provided me with many photo ops.  The sign and the railroad cars have always been available too.
