Electric boxes on Pole

There's a vacant lot on a corner in downtown Abilene that is empty except for these electric boxes.
I don't now what they do or what they power, but this empty lot has been like this since I've been here
for the past 7 years.

Car Dealership

This vacant/abandoned car dealership is located on a corner in Colorado City, Texas.  It looks exactly like it did 7 years ago when I first saw it.

Jack Frost Sculpture

This sculpture is seen near the entrance of the Abilene, Texas main office of the pubic library in downtown Abilene.  There's a plaque a few feet away explaining the sculpture and who the sculptor was.

Black Globe Light Post

This beautiful black globe light post is located in Coleman, Texas.  There were several more located around the little grassy area in one part of town..
I've never seen black globes like these, but they're really awesome, especially against the
stunning blue sky.

Clean alleyway

While walking around downtown today to find a photo op, I passed through this amazingly clean alleyway and decided to grab a photo of it.
There's often graffiti on the walls, but seldom is there trash on the ground.

Graffiti With Pole

In the alleyway downtown that's painted, this pole isn't painted.  It's too bad they didn't paint the pole the same colors as the wall it sits in front of.

All Grey

I saw this electrical box on one of the walls in an alleyway downtown and just thought it looked pretty interesting.
I love the monotone color.

Slanted Electric Pole

I've passed this building many times, but probably never from this angle.  I thought the slanted pole looked interesting, so there ya go.

I'm grateful for:
The beautiful weather we have today with the cooler temps

Chain Link and Blue Wall

I love shooting through chain link so when I saw this beautiful blue wall and the distinct shadow with chain link in the foreground, I figured it was a winning combination for me.
Sometimes just walking around being aware of the details along the way is the best way to find unexpected photo treasures.

I'm grateful that:
I was able to go to my fave coffee shop with a friend today
