Abandoned House on Corner

This abandoned house is on a corner in a run down neighborhood in Abilene, TX.
The windows on one side are boarded up and there's a chain link fence surrounding the yard.  The other half of the building has an ac unit in the window, but the house is in disrepair and doesn't look like anyone is living in it.
The sky to the left looks like there's copy space.

Boarded Windows

Walking around Cisco, TX, I saw the building down a side street.  It was abandoned and it had these boards on the windows and doors that I thought were interesting.

Abandoned Apt Building

I took a ride to Colorado City today and, among other things, photographed this building.  I remember being there about 5.5 years ago and photographing the same building then, but a different perspective.  The windows were not boarded up back then and I seem to remember a sign on the building saying that it would be refurbished.
Well all these years later and there's no refurbishing happening.  Just the empty building.

The weather today was spectacular~~temp was about 80 and there was a slight breeze.  Wish it could be like this all the time.

Abandoned Bldg in Ranger

I don't know what this building was once upon a time, but now it's just a shell, no walls or floor plan
inside, just some supporting poles holding up the beams that supported the upper floors.
There are planters along the outside of the lower level, as though someone is trying too make the building/sidewalk look nice.

Empty Building

This looks like a pretty interesting building, and even though it seems to be abandoned, there's a chalk drawing on one side and one of the overhead doors on the end is open, so there must be some kind of business--auto repair, machine shop or something of that sort.
It seems weird that the main part of the building has been vacant and boarded up for years, but there's a business of some sort in one part.

Abandoned Home

Well....it's day 10 of the new year and I've already outdone my posts of last year, when I actually only posted one image in January of the new year and the second image was months later.

Anyway, I've seen this house before.  It's been like this for at least 3 years and maybe longer.  Wonder what happened to the owners?  Did they pass on?  Did they just get sick of supporting the home financially?  Did they move out of the area?

The houses around it are nice and well taken care of.  No one complains about this eye-sore?  No one cares?  No one wants to be the snitch?

No way to know since I'm not from that neighborhood and don't know anyone to ask.  This is sad though.  It looks like it was a cute house once-upon-a-time.
