Welcome Home
Last week I was on the plane(s) from Honolulu to NY for about 42 hours. Remember I mentioned that the trip included 6 planes and going through security 3 different times. All of that in order to accompany a dog to Fairbanks, AK for my son. Little did I know that my luggage was going to have a longer vacation in Fairbanks than I was. If I had known, I might have procrastinated in the airport longer so I could have missed my connection too. But, alas, I got on the plane even though my luggage didn't.
During this past week, the airline finally tracked down where the luggage was, called Fairbanks and requested that the luggage be forwarded. Today, around noon, my luggage and I were reunited, a mere 7 1/2 days after leaving Honolulu. I'll open it tomorrow and see if everything's there...
Here it is, snuggled comfortably in the trunk of my car. Hooray!!!
After work today, I was scheduled to meet some friends for dinner and then we were going to head off to a meeting of the new photo club in our town. Well, even though I stopped at a store and dawdled as long as I could, I still arrived at the Coffee Beanery 45 minutes before the rest of the gang. I didn't have a book with me, and I didn't have anyone I could call to chat with. But I did have my trusty point and shoot camera, so I spent some time taking dopey photos of the interior and then my cell phone. It's pretty pathetic how easily I can be amused...
