Confederate Flag

My friend and I stopped in the country cemetery and we saw this
Confederate Flag flying at one of the graves.
In all the cemeteries I stopped at I've never seen one of these flags before.

Headstone

On the way home from our photo journey today we stopped at a cemetery and spent some time there looking for military headstones.
It was quite a large cemetery. We only searched one corner of it for stones that were of military members.  Sadly we also saw some headstones of babies, some who died at birth, some who were months old, some who were around two.   The heartbreak that the parents endured must have been awful.
When I saw this stone I cried...and I honestly couldn't speak for a few minutes when I saw the others.

Shrub and Gravestone

I'm always surprised when I take photos, put them on my hard drive, don't think they're great and then really like them when I revisit them months later.  This is one of those images.

Others may see the image and go, meh, but that just proves how subjective art is.

Fish Decor in a Cemetery

Seen in front of a headstone in a small town cemetery.  I'd guess that one of the deceased loved to fish.

I went to a Wellness Summit today where renowned Texas cardiologist Dr. McCullough spoke. He was giving away his book "The Courage to Face Covid-19" which has a forward written by
Robert Kennedy, Jr (who is the author of "The Real Anthony Fauci"~~very much a must read as far as I'm concerned)
Very interesting.

Angel Blowing Kisses

On my way home this morning from photographing a bike race, I passed a cemetery and decided to stop to see if there were any photo ops.  There weren't too many, but I couldn't resist getting a pic of this cute angel at the foot of one of the headstones.

Today my grateful heart gives praise for:
the health and strength in my body as I get older
