Brick Wall Corner

On one of my photo trips, I saw this brick corner on one of the buildings and thought the colors looked interesting.

Butterfly on Wall

In Anson, TX, there's a decorated alleyway that has murals on each wall and picnic tables and benches for sitting a spell.  The walls have some great artwork and this butterfly decorates one of the corners.

Another abandoned building

This building is in Anson, TX.  I've seen it before and photographed it before, but not from this angle.
There's nothing that identifies what it once was, but the structure still looks like it has some good bones.
I wonder why no one has decided to rehab it?

Abandoned Bank?

This structure looks like it must have been a bank years ago.
Merkel is a contradiction.
The 2020 census has the population listed as 2,471. The town is part of the metropolitan Abilene area and it's approximately 19 miles from Abilene.
There are a lot of vacant/empty buildings but as I walked around the town this afternoon I saw some revitalized buildings that seem to be part of upgrading the small town.

Empty Shed

I took a photo of this shed the last time I was here in the winter.  I'm not sure what it's for, but it's right on the corner of the property so maybe it is (or was) a shed for school kids to be in while waiting for the school bus. Other than that I have no idea.

Abandoned Building

The topic for my next photo club meeting is "abandoned".  I saw this structure and was intrigued with the beautiful mural on the side, while the business itself has been closed and abandoned for years.

I'm grateful for:
artists and their beautiful work

Corner of the Building

Following along with the theme of textures/shadows that I mentioned in the previous post, this brick building corner is a great texture image.  Again, not an especially exciting image for most people, but I love the color grey, I love brick buildings, and there are two shadows across the facade of the building.

As far as selling an image like this, there's just no telling what a buyer is looking for.  I used to be more choosey about the images I offered for sale, but after seeing what people buy (and who knows what they do with the images~~that's not my concern really) I'm more willing to add scenes like this just on the off chance that someone will want it.

Today I'm thankful for:
all 5 of my grown children being healthy and content
