Country Silos

This grouping of silos is located along a road in West Texas.

I finally forced myself to go out for a photo field trip today and one of my friends agreed to go with me.
Just before we left town it began drizzling and the temperature dropped to about 73 with some strong winds.  It was glorious.  By the time we arrived at our destination it was about 83 and stayed at that temp for the remainder of the day.

Cupola and weather vane

We were at Homestead Village just outside Waco.  This is the building topper of one of the outbuildings.

My heart is grateful for:
spending the weekend with two of my grown children and their families

Abandoned Grain Elevator

Cross Plains, Texas.  I don't think I've ever seen abandoned grain elevators before.

I'm grateful for:
cooler temperatures

Grain Elevator

Traveling with a friend today to a town I never heard of before.  Along the way we spied this beautiful grain/feed business and we just had to stop and make some images.

My heart is grateful today for:
the digital photo frame I was gifted at Christmas

I made this image a while ago but I like it.  Since I have nothing new, I decided to post this one.  Small town Texas grain store.
