An Hawaiian Icon
Yesterday a friend and I spent some time at Waikiki (see previous post). As soon as we walked onto the main street, I noticed a man sitting on the sidewalk, creating lei ("lei" is singular and plural). I grabbed my camera and started shooting, so did my friend. I began to feel a little guilty about taking so many photos and not compensating him in any way, when I noticed this particular lei. All of the lei were beautiful, but this one really stood out for me because of the crimson and yellow combination. So I treated myself. I wore it for the rest of the evening while shooting. The scent is truly beautiful.
