Abandoned Silo

Downtown there's this abandoned silo.  It's directly behind one of the popular coffee shops at the edge of downtown.

Grain Silo in Small Town

On one of my field trips with a friend, we came across this grouping of silos.  I don't know why I find them so irresistible, but I do and I almost always make images of them if I can.

Country Silo

The weather was incredible again today~~77 degrees.  Got home from church, had lunch, and wanted to get out of the house and take advantage of the great weather. I decided to go to the local zoo. They always have the nicest holiday decorations, but alas, they weren't going to open until 4pm for a special Christmas event. So I drove down some country road I've never been on before.
I don't know why I like these structures so much, but I do and I can't resist making images of them.

Country Silos

This grouping of silos is located along a road in West Texas.

I finally forced myself to go out for a photo field trip today and one of my friends agreed to go with me.
Just before we left town it began drizzling and the temperature dropped to about 73 with some strong winds.  It was glorious.  By the time we arrived at our destination it was about 83 and stayed at that temp for the remainder of the day.

Up and Over

I saw this set of steps going over the barbed wire fence as I was driving down a country road.  I made a quick U-turn to get back there and make some images of the steps and the small silo inside the fence.
How interesting~~the barbed wire fence is in place to keep out intruders, but there was easy access up and over the steps.  Weird.

I'm grateful today:
the the spontaneous visit to my daughter's house not far from this spot

Another downtown Silo

I saw this from the main road, turned down the side street and was able to get this image.  I didn't see a name for this business so I don't know anything about it.

I just love the structure

My heart is grateful today for:
spending some time with a friend who was helping me learn more about LightRoom

Grain Elevator

Traveling with a friend today to a town I never heard of before.  Along the way we spied this beautiful grain/feed business and we just had to stop and make some images.

My heart is grateful today for:
the digital photo frame I was gifted at Christmas

18/365   Small Texas town farm store

I made this image a while ago but I like it.  Since I have nothing new, I decided to post this one.  Small town Texas grain store.
