Urban structure

This structure contained a restaurant until it recently relocated to another space in downtown Abilene, TX. I haven't seen the new location so I don't know if there's an outside eating space as there was here. 

The weather has been much more tolerable although still warm and it was almost pleasant being outside and walking around after dealing with temps in the high 100s and up to 113 for a while.

Spiral Staircase

This spiral staircase is located inside a secure fence at an event center in downtown Abilene, Texas.  I LOVE spiral staircases and even though I've passed this location many times, I never thought of taking a photo of it until the other day.

God is in control of everything, even is something seems like a tragedy at the time it happens

Kind of desperate for a photo for today.  It's beautiful outside right now, but will get much warmer as the day progresses.  Grabbed this shot on my patio.

The Mill Wine Bar

The Mill, once the home of the Texas Mill and Elevator Company (which opened in 1910), is now a wine bar which serves wine, craft beers and food.  It is an event venue in south downtown Abilene, Texas.

From what I hear, the food is great.  Someday maybe I'll find out for myself.  Until then, I'll have to believe the positive gossip I hear about it.
