Chasing Aurora

There was an incredible display of the Aurora lights last night.  My camera was acting funny so I missed some really good images, but I'm happy with what I got.

Sculpture on Downtown Building

This sculpture is seen on the Alaska Court System building in downtown Fairbanks, Alaska.  It was created by Keith Appel with Doug Morris & Nelson Gingrich in 2001.

It's called Arctic Sonata

and it changes color with the ambient lighting conditions.

Disguising Electrical Boxes

Visiting a friend in a small coastal town in FL.  Walking around downtown I saw this wall art and how they used it to disguise these ugly electrical boxes.  If you were quickly walking by, you might not even notice the boxes, just the artwork.  What a great idea.
