We Got Together

Some of my photo buddies and I got together this afternoon to do some photography in our local town--at least what's left of it.

It was so good being with them and having the chance to talk about the project we're working on.

Things are looking pretty sad in our town. There are, however, occasional treasures to photograph, but I'm saving those for our project. These shabby subjects intrigue me even though they sadden me a little at the same time.

These are great, Linda! How did I miss that house?! Love the b/w...very fitting for the subject. I also really like the perspective of the 2nd one. As I studied it, I realized there is a message in that one. Nice job!

I know what you mean. It is sad to see towns fall apart. On the other hand, I think it is beautiful to something that has stood for a long time and it might be a memory to someone else. That's why I love to document things that are falling apart :)

Love the BW the best :)

Having worked at the Victory Market and then Great American it is sad to see the business gone. I guess it's getting older when you remember when things were in better shape..Now I am depressed!
I really like the first in black and white, nice contrast in the photo. Did you tweak at all?
