Just 12 Years Ago

Twelve years ago this month I was sitting in the high school auditorium watching my daughter be inducted into the National Junior Honor Society.

Tonight I sat in that same auditorium and watched my grandson, Mace, be inducted into the same organization.

Quoted from the NJHS website:

"The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding middle level students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Character and Citizenship. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since their beginnings in the early 1900s."

So, congratulations to Mace, and the 40 other students inducted tonight!
