Bronx Zoo

Went to the Bronx Zoo today. Weather was great: cloudy and not too hot. The zoo wasn't very crowded either, so that made it even better.

The bus was only about half full. At least half the original reservations canceled because of the "swine flu". Too bad the media has such an effect on people. They missed out on a good day.

These images are beautiful. You really are talented with that camera. The last photo is angelic, almost as if the seal is posing perfectly for your shot. And the male gorilla, stunning. Makes me yearn for the zoo.

Terrific shots, Linda! As always, you did a wonderful job of capturing the animals in a natural looking setting, without obvious signs of the zoo. I love the last image the best, with the leopard being my 2nd favorite. I love how the leopard is looking at you...can almost imagine the "ho-hum...another picture" running through his mind! Weather sounded perfect for a trip to the zoo. Glad you had fun!

Sounds like you had a great day. The second pic is my favorite b/c it truly looks like a photo that was taken outside of a zoo. It also reminds me of my cat that always lays around. Happy Mother's Day.

of course liked the gorilla the best.Is there a personality trait "churlish" that could describe male silverbacks. I think this is some our fascination
